Cookie policy

Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser. Some sites also use your browser’s local storage, which works in a similar way. We refer to both as cookies here.

When you first visit, a banner asks which cookies you are happy for us to use. Nothing beyond what is strictly necessary is set until you choose, and no request is made to Google Analytics unless you accept. You can change your mind at any time:

These keep the site working and cannot be switched off. Both are stored in your browser only, and neither is shared with anyone.

• 2xn_cookie_consent_v1 (local storage): remembers your cookie choice, so the banner does not ask again. Kept until you clear your browser storage.
• gs-theme (local storage): remembers whether you chose the light or dark theme. Kept until you clear your browser storage.

Only set if you accept analytics cookies. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are visited and how people find the site, so we can improve it.

• _ga: distinguishes one visitor from another. Expires after 2 years.
• _ga_HG6GQSNB57: keeps track of your visit. Expires after 2 years.

If you later switch analytics off, these cookies are deleted.

We do not currently use marketing cookies. The option appears in our cookie settings so that you stay in control if that ever changes.

Some pages show content hosted by other companies. Because this content is part of the page, it loads when the page opens, and the company receives your IP address. Some may set their own cookies, which are covered by their policies rather than ours.

• Doctify (most pages): shows Mr Abu’s verified patient reviews. Loaded from doctify.com, which may set its own cookies. See Doctify’s privacy policy.
• YouTube (About page): two videos, embedded in YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode, so YouTube does not store cookies unless you play a video. See Google’s privacy policy.
• LinkedIn (home page): an embedded post, loaded from linkedin.com, which may set its own cookies. See LinkedIn’s cookie policy.
• OpenStreetMap (Contact page): the map showing The Park Hospital, loaded from openstreetmap.org. See the OpenStreetMap Foundation privacy policy.
• Google Fonts (every page): the typefaces used on this site are loaded from Google’s servers. No cookies are set. See Google’s privacy policy.

Use the Cookie settings link at the foot of any page to change your choice. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, although parts of some pages may not work as intended if you do.

We will update this policy if the cookies we use change. The date at the top shows when it last changed. See our privacy policy for more on how we use your information.
