Understanding the procedure before you agree to it
Each leaflet explains what the operation involves, why it may be recommended, the benefits and the risks, and what to expect before, during and after surgery. They are written to answer the questions patients most often ask, so you can read them at your own pace and discuss them with your family, carers and healthcare team.
A leaflet is not a substitute for the conversation you will have with Mr Abu. Bring your questions to your consultation, and ask as many as you need to.
